Is traumatic brain injury permanent?

In the early days, I simply couldn’t function in a room with noise, and have a conversation.  My ability to multi-task was zero.  I’d wanted to be able to be at a party, or in a group, and be like everyone else – chatter going on the room, but I’d still be able to have a conversation with someone.
Now, I can do that. I can work on my computer, even though the TV is also on, I don’t lose focus, and can do what I was doing.  From my perspective, I think that this article is correct.  When the brain suffers an injury, it’s bad, but it heals.  The complexity of what’s in there means that it’s slow to do, but it happens.
